Letter to Rabbi Shalom Shachna Cherniak, rabbi of Maciejów - Letter to Rabbi Shalom Shachna Cherniak, rabbi of Maciejów Rabbi Shalom Shachna Cherniak (1861-1938) was the rabbi of Pitchayev, Berimlia, and then Maciejow. He authored Mishmeret Shalom on the Pri Megadim and Chaim U’Berachah on the laws of the arba minim. He received many approbations for his works, including one from the Maharsham of Berezhany, Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik of Brisk, the “Ohr Sameach, ” and others. Refer to Dor Rabanav U’Sefarav, 3.
