Studied with his father the author of Melitzei Esh and his leading Rav Maran the Da'as Sofer of Pressburg. His Sefer Shut is considered a first -class Halachic Sefer.  Rabbi Shlomo Tzvi Hakohein Strasser, Av Beis Din of Debrecen (1863-1953) was born to Rabbi Yaakov Yehuda Leib Hakohein Strasser, a son-in-law of the Ksav Sofer. He studied in the yeshivah of the Shevet Sofer in Pressburg and married his first cousin, the daughter of Rabbi Yaakov Akiva Sofer. He served as Rav in Subotica and Tyrnau and, in 1902, accepted the Rabbinate in Debrecen.
