Moshe Avrohom, head of the local Chassidic community. His mother was a descendant of a brother of the first Slonimer Rebbe (Yesod Ha’Avodah). In 1933 he married a daughter of Rebbi Avrohom Weinberg of Tiberias , later to become Slonimer Rebbe (Birchas Avrohom). In 1941, he opened the Slonimer Yeshiva in Yerusholayim with just 5 talmidim. In his capacity as Slonimer Rosh Yeshiva he educated hundreds of distinguished talmidim. In 1981, he succeeded his father-in-law, as the Slonimer Rebbe of Yerushlayim. He was a tremendous Talmid Chochom and prolific author, particularly famous for his Seforim Nesivos Sholom which were received to almost unprecedented acclaim.
