Segulah Book ”I shall bless all who buy this book ... to be blessed with an abundance of good and much blessing” (The Admo”r of Hornosteipel, in his introduction) Turei Zahav al Hilchot Ribbit with the Shulchan Aruch text, by the Admo”r Rabbi Mordechai Dov of Hornosteipel, one of the most prominent Admo”rim, whose blessing resulted in the birth of his fellow Hornosteipeler, the 'Steipler' - author of Kehillat Ya'akov (see below). Jerusalem, 1936. First edition. ”I shall bless anyone who buys this book with a redoubled blessing. The tzaddik's merit will stand by him to be blessed with good abundance and much blessing; he shall be privileged to see children and grandchildren occupied with Torah and mitzvahs.” Such is the blessing in the foreword by his son and successor, the Admo”r Rabbi Ben Tziyon Yehuda Leib of Hornosteipel. The Admo”r Rabbi Mordechai Dov Twerski was renowned in his generation as a tremendous wonder-worker. Legend tells that one of his Chassidim, Rabbi Peretz Kanievsky, father of the gaon Rabbi Ya'akov Yisrael Kanievsky - the 'Steipler' (so called due to his birthplace, Hornosteipel) was childless. His son the 'Steipler' was born in 1899 as a result of the Admo”r Rabbi Mordechai Dov's blessing. As an expression of his appreciation, the Steipler, to the end of his days, would wear a Chassidic shtreimel at special times, as does his son, Sar HaTorah Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, to this day.
