The Rav of Krashtein. Was born to his father Rabbi Zvi Hirsch who was a Dayan inKrakow. A disciple of the Holy Rabbi Chaim of Sanz, who liked him and said of him that he is ”perfect in Torah and Yirah”. Rabbi Shmuel was one of the editors of the responses in the Shut Divrei Chaim authored by his Rav. In addition, he was the in-law of the son of the Rabbi of Sanz, the Holy Rabbi Yechezkel Sheraga of Shinava. Rabbi Shmuel Aharon served as Rav in small towns like Krashtin and Zabrov and refused offers to serve as Rav in large cities like Munkatch and Reisha. Authored many important books on all subjects of the Torah including: Beis Aharon on Hilchos Gittin, Zera Yishai - commentary on Psikta DeRav Kahana, Chumash HaGiborim, Rashei Besamim on the Shas and more.
