The Admor Harav Moishele of Ziditchov Hy”d (circa 1874-1944), son of Yissachar Berish of Veretzky, author of the Malbush, succeeded his father as Admor of Ziditchov and moved his yeshivah to Munkacs at the end of his life. Rav Moshe was renowned for his exceptional piety and emotional prayer. Countless Jews flocked to him for blessing and counsel, yet he was perhaps most famous as a masmid who learned Torah without interruption and was known to quote paragraphs of Gemara in his sleep. The Minchas Yitzchak, who was Rav Moshe’s son’s chavrusah, attested that the words emanating from his lips radiated light. His knowledge of all realms of Torah was astounding, and his written legacy was published under the title Zichron Moshe on Rashi and the Ohr Hachaim Hakadosh.
