The book bears many approbations extolling the great holiness of the book and its author, accorded by foremost Chassidic leaders. The author, R. Moshe of Pshevorsk (1720?-1806) was a great Chassidic leader in the generation of R. Elimelech of Lizhensk and his brother R. Zusha of Anipoli, who held him in high esteem. He was also renowned as a supremely holy and pure Torah scribe, and Tefillin and mezuzot he scribed were deemed exceptionally holy. [4], 240 leaves. 21.5 cm. Printed in part on greenish paper. Stains and wear Rabbi Aharon Moshe MiGeza Zvi - born in Brod in 1775, a disciple of the Chozeh of Lublin and the Saraf of Strelisk, and the son-in-law of Rabbi Mordechai Horowitz who published the book Chibat Yerushalayim. He studied Torah and kabbalah in Brod and then in 1839 immigrated to Israel. He is considered to be the founder of the Chassidic community in Jerusalem and headed the Kollel HaChassidim in Jerusalem. He mourned for the destruction of Jerusalem throughout his life and died in 1845. His famous will was published in Chernowirtz in 1858.
