Slavita, 1815. “The famed rabbi Moreinu Harav Moshe Shapira, Av Beis Din of Slavita, wishes to publish Sefer HaZohar, and I bless him that he should use his strength for Torah” (approbation by the Ohev Yisrael of Apta). This edition of Sefer HaZohar was printed in Slavita in two formats (large and small) by the prestigious Shapira family. The smaller edition was printed by the father Harav Moshe Shapira, son of the legendary Rabbi Pinchas of Koritz; and the larger edition was printed by his son Harav Avraham Shmuel Shapira. “Every man who fears heaven should endeavor to purchase old editions of sefarim that were printed by those who fear Hashem, and especially by the printers in Slavita and Zhitomir, the grandsons of the Rebbe of Koritz” (Shomer Emunim, Taharas Hakodesh Ch. 6)
