Harav Fried was renowned for his sharp mind and genius (as written in Darchei Teshuvah) and “ for being the Gadol Hador of his generation” (quoted from Maharash Engel). The Pnei Meivin numbered among the greatest Hungarian Rabbanim in his generation and authored myriads of teshuvos. His famous compositions include Shu”t Pnei Meivin and Pnei Meivin al HaTorah.
