Menachem Mendel Hager of Kosov (1769-1825), son of R. Yaakov Kopl Chosid of Kolomyia, a disciple of the Baal Shem Tov.. He was born in Kolomuja and married his cousin, the daughter of R. Shmuel Simhah of Kosov, where he lived for a number of years. R. Menachem Mendel was a disciple of R. Elimelekh of Lejask, R. Zvi Hirsch of Nadvorna, and R. Moses Leib of Sasov. In 1890 he suceeded his father as Rebbe of Kosov. His discourses, which are full of gematriyot are to be found in Ahavas Sholom.
