Rabbi Moshe won widespread acclaim both as a miracle worker and for his exceptional piety and holiness. His father attested that he was born completely spiritual and his grandfather, the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, predicted a great future for him already in his youth. Rabbi Moshe succeeded his father's position in Shinowa until his appointment as Rabbi of Sanz in 1904. Upon his passing, his tahara was performed by the Minchas Elazar himself. He was then buried near his grandfather, the Divrei Chaim.
