Letter full of congratulations to Rabbi Mordechai Rattenberg and his family, from Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld, - Rabbi Mordechai Rottenberg was a disciple of Rabbi Moshe Grunwald – the Arugas Habosem, Rabbi Chananya Yomtov Lippa Teitelbaum, the Kedushas Yomtov of Sighet and of Rabbi Shlomo Halberstam of Bobov. He was the son-in-law of Rabbi David Friedman of Tzehlem (Deutschkreutz). Dayan of Tzehlem, Rabbi of Wadowice and from 1912 Rosh Beis Din of Antwerp, later succeeding Rabbi Noach Tzvi Ullman as Rabbi of the orthodox Machzikei Hadass community. Prominent and revered Torah leader. Murdered by the Nazis at Auschwitz. His halachic writings were published by descendants under the title Shaalos Uteshuvos Yad Mordechai. Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld [1848-1932], one of the great rabbis of the generation and one of the leaders of the settlement in the Land of Israel, served as the Chief Rabbi of the Eida Charedit in Jerusalem. He was born in Slovakia and studied from great Torah scholars, including the Ktav Sofer, son of the Chatam Sofer.
