Yalkut Sofer Paksh Copy of the Genius Meir Leib Freya Av Beit Din Shuran - Rabbi Meir Leib Frei Rav of Shuran (1878-1944), great Rosh Yeshiva and posek of his generation. His father Rabbi Yitzchak Tzvi, was the beloved son-in-law of the 'Ketav Sofer'. He acquired much Torah from his Rebbe and Uncle Moron 'Shevet Sofer' and his great Rebbes and geonim Rabbi Kaleiv Feivel Shlesinger Rav of Topoľčany author of 'Toraht Bar-Nash' and Rabbi Mordechai Leib Winkler author of 'Levushei Mordechai' Rav of Mad. The day he married the daughter of his uncle the Gaon Rabbi Yeshayehu Ehrenfeld Rav of Shuran he was appointed to succeed him and from then he was referred to everyone as 'Shuraner Rav.
