Sefer Shnei Luchos Habris (the holy Shlah), Amsterdam 1648-49, first edition! First edition of the sefer renowned across the entire Diaspora throughout the generations, and by which name Rabbi Yeshayah HaLevi Horowitz is known, as the Ba'al HaShla”h HaKadosh. This is the first edition, printed with much effort by the author's son, Rabbi Sheftel, rabbi of Poznań. The holy Sefer “ Shnei Luchos Habris ” is an all-in-one compendium of Chiddushim in Halacha, foundations of the Hidden Torah, sermons, and Mussar, taken from all fields of Torah study. The Sefer has become highly accepted throughout the Jewish world, and his words are quoted by the greatest Poskim and Mekubalim. Many of the great leaders of Chassidus were adherents of the Sefer. And the most famous ”Tefillat HaShla”h” for educating children, about which he writes: ”My heart tells me that an auspicious time for this prayer is Erev Rosh Chodesh Sivan.” Indeed, to this day, many recite this prayer at the grave site of the Shla”h HaKadosh in Tiberias. It is difficult to exaggerate the greatness of the segulah concealed in reciting these important and famous prayers for livelihood and children's education from an actual first edition copy of Sefer HaShla”h HaKadosh!
