The Gaon Rabbi Avraham of Vilna (1766-1809) was the youngest and most beloved son of Rabeinu Eliyahu of Vilna, a brilliant genius in the Seen and Unseen, son-in-law of Rabbi Noah Mindis, of the Vilna geniuses (author of "Nifla'ot Hadashot" and "Papera'ot LaChochma"). It is said that he did not remove his hand from his father's hand all his life and heard from him many of the secrets of the Torah.After his marriage, our rabbi studied with his father and in the Midrash schools in Vilna. He is considered close to his father's right and helped him in his connections with the greats of his generation and in the leadership of the famous Kloise in Vilna.
R' Avraham brought to print several of his father's works, and added glosses and annotations to them, and even composed several works to clarify his writings, which were, as is known, written in vigorous brevity, he himself authored seforim in all subjects of the Torah, but the great majority of them were never printed. This page before us is also a remnant and refugee of those works Geniuses through which we raised his caste.
