R' Eliyahu Gutmacher also known as R. Elya Greiditzer (1796-1875), was one of the foremost disciples of R. Akiva Eiger. In addition to being greatly respected as great Talmid Chochom and Rav, he was renowned as a miracle worker to whom many turned in time of need. He also was extremely active in raising funds for the impoverished Jews of the Old Yishuv and was one of the early proponents of Yishuv Eretz Yisroel. His son authored a sefer on Maseches Kinnim, which is a well-known and popular segulah.
