Segulah for a Plague! Shu”t Chidushei HaRi”m, Josefow, 1867. First edition.  She'elot U'Teshuvot V'Chiddushei Masechtot by Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Alter of Gur.  The sefer Meir Einei HaGolah (1904) relates that after the Chiddushei HaRi”m's passing, there was a plague in Warsaw. The Admo”r Rabbi Chanoch Henich of Alexander said that in his youth, there was a plague that ended in the merit of printing a book by one of the Rishonim, so this book by the Chiddushei HaRi”m must be printed immediately to bring an end the present plague.
