Alon Bachus-Mispad HaMishnah, Furth 1823. Copy of R' Chaim Elazar Vachs. Rare: Alon Bachus [eulogy for R. Abraham Naphtali Hertz Scheuer]. with: Mispad HaMishnah. First Edition. With inscription stating that the present copy was gifted to the recipient by R. Hamburg. Stamps of Rabbi Chaim Elazar Vachs [faded]. R. Chaim Elazar Vachs (1822-1889), was one the greatest Rabbinical leaders in Poland. A prodigious Talmid Chochom he served as Rav of Taringrad, Kalisch and Pietrekow. He was a son-in-law of R. Shea Kutno. His magnum opus Nefesh Chaya was received to great acclaim. Father-in-law of R. Yosef of Amshinov. Size:  17 cm Condition : Overall in fine condition, lacking pages in the middle and at the end, damaged binding.
