Meir Berlin (Bar-Ilan) (1880-1949), was born in Volozhin and studied in the great Yeshivos of Volozhin, Telshe, Brisk and together with his grandfather, the Oruch Ha’Shulchon in Novardok. In 1905, he joined the Mizrachi movement soon becoming one of its most prominent voices and eventually its leader.
