On the 3rd side there is a Teshuva written and signed by the Mahrsham, Rabbi Sholom Mordechai Ha’Cohen Schwadron. On the 4th side there is a Teshuva written and signed by Rabbi Dovid Silber Rav in Berzhan.
Rabbi Sholom Mordechai Ha’Cohen Schwadron (1835-1911), known as the MaHarSham, was a foremost halachic authority of his generation, responding to Halachic queries from across the world. His main works Shailos U’Teshuvos MaHarSham and Daas Torah are widely studied sources of Halocha. Additionally, he authored Mishpat Sholom on Chosen Mishpat and Techeiles Mordechai on the weekly Torah portions. Primarily a talmid of R. Yoel Ashkenazy, he served in various rabbinical positions most notably Berzhan, after which he is known.
Rabbi Moshe Dovid Ostreicher (1883-1954), was a talmid of R. Tzvi Hirsch of Munkacs (Darkei Teshuva), R. Yehuda Greenfeld and R. Yehuda Grunewald. Known as a tremendous Talmid Chochom and great Posek, he served as Rov in Tchimpa and later Arad. Miraculously surviving the Holocaust, after the war he was greatly involved in helping Agunos after the war. He later immigrated to New York, settling in Williamsburg where he was held in great esteem.
