Letter by Hagaon Harav Chaim Chizkiyahu Medini, author of the Sdei Chemed. Lacking the beginning of the letter. Written by scribe, signed by “Hatza’ir Chaim Chizkiyahu Medini who is called Chacha”m.” R. Chaim Chizkiyahu Medini (1833-1905) was born in Jerusalem and studied under R. Yitzchok Kobo and R. Yosef Nissim Burlo. Orphaned of his father at a young age, he travelled to Constantinople where he taught Torah and served as a Dayan. He later served as Rav in Krasov, eventually returning to Eretz Yisroel where he became the Chief Rabbi of Chevron. Renowned as a phenomenal Talmid Chochom and great Tsaddik. His Magnum Opus, Sdei Chemed a compendium of Talmudic principles received great acclaim and remains a classic work. Size : 21 x 13 cm Condition : Moderate condition, has tape.
