Letter by Rabbi Mendel Zaks, Son-in-Law of the Chafetz Chaim, Radin 1937. Rabbi Menachem Mendel Yosef Sachs (1894-1974), the youngest son-in-law of the ”Chafetz Chaim” was the head of the Radin Yeshiva while his father-in-law was still alive. During the Holocaust, he moved with his student to Vilnius. He travelled to the USA to try and transfer the yeshiva to the USA yet did not succeed and they were exiled to Siberia. In the USA, he served as a Ram at the Rabbi Yitzchak Elchanan Yeshiva. He was one of the prominent leaders of ”Va'ad Ha'Hatzalah of New York”.
