First edition. Includes four works: 1. Nachlas Tzvi , elucidation on the difficult topics in Tractate Yevamos. 2. Ken Meforeshes . Elucidation on Tractate Kinim. With text of the tractate. 3. Tzafnas Paneach : Elucidation of the Raba Bar Bar Chana texts in Tractate Bava Basra. 4. Shalom B'Pamalya shel Maala : Solutions to the conflicting statements in different sections of Shulchan Aruch. The last two works were written by Rabbi Eliyahu Gutmacher, the author's father. He also wrote two introductions his son's works. Rabbi Tzvi Gutmacher was the son of Rabbi Eliyahu Gutmacher, but he predeceased his father, and had no children. His father published his Nachlat Tzvi and Ken Meforeshet on Tractate Kinim. In the introduction, the father writes ”when a person needs salvation from Hash-m ... he should learn Mishnah with ... Tosfot Yom Tov and my son's commentary. Then he should stand and pray in any language ... He should detail his request and he will be answered.” He also writes in his introduction that he is consoled with the thought that his son gave merits for all future generations and will generate benefits and salvation from punishments.” [Included with documentation regarding the success of this segulah.] Rabbi Eliyahu Gutmacher, ”The Tzaddik of Greiditz, ” [1795-1894] was a disciple of Rabbi Akiva Eiger. He studied kabbalah and drew close to chassidut. He served as rabbi in Pleschen and then Greiditz. He was known as the ”Tzaddik of Greiditz, ” and people thronged to ask him for blessings. Righteous people, such as the Admor, author of Sefat Emet of Gur, requested his blessing. Special copy. Two leaves were added at the end of the work, with an index to Tzafnas Paneach.
