Minchas Yaakov, Tzaffas 1914. A book of mussar derashot for the shabbatot of the year, festivals, special days and various occasions, by Rabbi Yaakov Gordon, who was the Rabbi of Toronto at the beginning of the 20th century, a student in the Volozhin Yeshiva and one of the founders of the Zionist movement in Canada. The uniqueness of this book is that it is one of the few which were printed in Tzfat, and the author, who lived in Toronto, travelled all the way to Tzfat in order to publish the book. Also, the book was published during the First World War. The printing press ”HaGalil” was established by Zalman David Levontin (one of the pioneers of the Second Aliyah, one of the founders of Rishon Lezion and one of the founders of ”Otzar Hityshvut HaYehudim”) with the purpose of helping the poor residents of Tzfat. This is the fifth book printing in this printing house, in which were printed in total 29 books. With an approbation from Rabbi Yaakov Dovid Wilovsky.
