Letter by the Kabbalist Rabbi Sroyah Devlitzky, 1997.
R' Sroya Davlitzky (1926-2018), was born in Riga and emigrated to Eretz Yisroel with his family in 1934. From the age of 13, he learned in the Gra shul in Tel Aviv under R. Yechiel Yisroelov and became close with R. Yosef Tzvi HaLevi, Rav of Tel Aviv. He then proceeded to learn at the Yeshivos of Kaminetz and Chevron. After his marriage, he settled in B’nei Brak where he became close to the Chazon Ish. He eventually established a Minyan and spent the rest of his years teaching Torah and writing many seforim on a wide range of topics including Halacha, Kabbalah, Dikduk, Derashos, Tefilah and more.
