Rabbi Yekusiel Yehuda Teitelbaum, son of Rabbi Elazar Nissan of Drohobycz and grandson of Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum of Ujhely – the Yismach Moshe, who was his main teacher. Son-in-law of Rabbi Moshe David Ashkenazi of Tolcsva and Tzefas. Rabbi of Stropkov, Ujhely, Gorlitz, Drohobycz and Sighet, where he established a large Yeshiva and chassidic centre, with thousands of adherents. Highly revered as a tzadik and recognised as one of the most prominent Hungarian chassidic leaders and halachic authorities of his day. Author of Yetev Lev, Yetev Panim, Rav Tov and Avnei Tzedek.
