MID-CENTURY MODERN METAL WHEAT WALL SCULPTURE - Tall sculptural wall decoration constructed of welded metal rods with multiple dimensional wheat/grain heads and long radiating awns. The composition terminates in an abstract circular scrollwork base and has a dark bronze/brass-toned finish. The elongated, organic design is characteristic of Mid-Century Modern decorative metalwork of the 1960s-70s. MEASURES: 17 L X 14 W X 79 inches CONDITION REPORT: Overall good vintage condition with age-related surface wear, oxidation and patination throughout. Numerous slender projecting metal rods exhibit minor bends, waviness and irregularities consistent with age, handling and the delicate nature of the construction.
