Early 19th Century Flintlock Pistol
Early flintlock pistol from the beginning of the 19th century. Design and ornamentation indicate a Middle Eastern origin. Single piece wooden stock shows some long cracks and one part appears to be restored with non-original wood. Pistol appears to be in a blunderbuss style and measures 21 inches from end to end. Flintlock mechanism is loose and does not function, though could possibly be repaired. Barrel and hardware shows some ornamentation in flowing patterns. Overall the piece is in moderate condition with some patina and light pitting. See Photos.
