Palatial American Federal /Empire Mahogany Tall Chest
Early 19th century American ( New York or Philadelphia ) monumental tall chest of drawers. Highboy chest having two upper drawers over 6 lower drawers, circular columns and seated on highly carved hairy paw feet. Measuring approx 68" tall (5ft 6") x 40" wide x 22" deep. Cliche, yet photo lack the stately impression this chest leaves in person. Although we have no document present, owner acquired the chest from President Garfield's Mentor (Cleveland Area) Ohio home . Normal use and wear throughout consistent with age, see photos.
