1st first Lady Martha Washington Oil on Canvas Portrait Painting in later frame. Very fine late 18th century or early 19th century depiction of the first US Presidents wife. Attributed to Gilbert Stuart, American (1755-1828). Painting measures 32" tall x 27.5" overall framed and 26.5" tall x 22" wide site size. Frame is later than the painting and has been relined canvas unknown when (appears to be a long time ago). Matching George Washington in lot 8. See photos. Acquired from a prominent Cleveland family who states it has been in the family since mid 19th century.
