Early 20th Century Oak Waterfall Top Two Door Astragal Glazed Bookcase - This is a single-piece oak display cabinet or bookcase dating to the early 20th century, featuring elements of Art Deco and Colonial Revival styles. The unit is constructed with a streamlined waterfall top characterized by a rounded upper corner and sits upon a simple, slightly projecting plinth base. The front configuration consists of two side-opening glazed doors separated by a central fixed wooden panel with a recessed arched detail. Each door features three glass panes secured by decorative wooden astragal glazing that incorporates a central carved shell or fan-shaped motif. The interior is fitted with three full-width wooden shelves, creating four levels of storage or display space. The doors are equipped with two brass-toned keyhole escutcheons.
