William and Mary Style Oak Gateleg Drop-Leaf Table - A William and Mary style gateleg table of late 19th or early 20th-century manufacture. The piece is constructed of solid oak and features an oval top when fully extended, consisting of a center section and two hinged drop-leaves. The base is composed of eight bobbin-turned legs, four of which are stationary and four of which act as gatelegs to support the leaves. The legs are joined by a series of turned stretchers. No maker's marks are present; a small white adhesive inventory label with the numbers 0130 is located on the edge of one leaf. Height 28 inches Width 43 inches (fully extended) Depth 36 inches.
