Chinese Carved Hardwood Everted-End Altar Table - This Chinese everted-end altar table, also known as a qiaotou'an or console table, is of long rectangular form and crafted from a figured hardwood with a polished reddish-brown finish. The table features high, scrolled ends and an apron deeply carved in relief with scrolling foliate and stylized cloud motifs. The recessed legs are connected by side panels with openwork carving depicting ruyi-head clouds. A small inventory label marked 0064 is visible on the upper apron. The construction and ornamentation are consistent with Qing Dynasty style furniture. 36 inches H x 74 inches W x 16 inches D.
