Renaissance Revival Carved Oak Cabinet on Stand - This Renaissance Revival style cabinet on stand is of two-piece construction, consisting of an upper storage cabinet and a separate trestle-style base. The piece is constructed from oak with a medium brown finish. The upper cabinet features two doors, each containing two recessed rectangular panels. Each of the four panels is decorated with high-relief carvings of Romayne-style portrait heads set within foliate scroll borders. A horizontal barley-twist molding divides the upper and lower rows of panels. The doors are fitted with black-finished decorative metal strap hinges and a matching central latch plate. The cabinet is topped with a heavy, stepped, and molded overhanging cornice. The separate stand features block-and-turned legs with carved scroll details at the shoulders, all joined by a single low-set rectangular stretcher. A small white adhesive inventory tag marked 6500 is located on the front left door. Height: 53” Width: 48” Depth: 18”.
