A Pair of Pressed Glass Hurricane Candle Holders with Etched Shades and Prisms - A pair of decorative glass hurricane candle holders. Each unit consists of a clear pressed glass base and a removable glass shade. The bases feature a circular flat foot and a stem with a stylized double-scroll or lyre-shaped design. Each base includes a scalloped bobeche supporting a set of clear glass prisms, each composed of a small octagonal top bead and a long, faceted pendeloque-style drop. The removable hurricane shades exhibit a flared bell form and are decorated on the upper portion with a frosted etched floral and foliate vine pattern. The bases exhibit visible mold seams characteristic of mid-20th-century decorative glassware. The prisms appear to be made of molded glass rather than hand-cut crystal. The lot includes two pink pillar candles. A soda bottle pictured is for scale only and is not included in the lot. No maker marks are visible. Dimensions: Approximately 13 inches height.
