The sconces are constructed from a molded wood-pulp and resin composite material, finished in a brushed metallic gold-tone paint to simulate gilded wood or bronze. The design is executed in the Rococo Revival style, characterized by asymmetrical scrolling acanthus leaves and a central floral motif. Each sconce features two out-swept arms that terminate in fluted, petal-form candle cups designed for standard taper candles.
