A Collection of Ten Goebel Annual Christmas Ornaments, 1977-1980 - A collection of ten ceramic Christmas ornaments manufactured by Goebel in West Germany. The lot consists of various annual editions released from 1977 through 1980, featuring Santa Claus and angel motifs. The figures are executed in both matte white bisque and hand-painted glazed finishes. All items are presented in their original green cardboard packaging, which displays the Goebel name and the stylized V with a bumblebee logo. The group contains one 1977 Second Edition Angel in bisque, three 1977 Second Edition Angels with hand-painted decoration, one 1978 First Edition Santa Claus in bisque, one 1978 First Edition Santa Claus with hand-painted decoration, one 1979 Second Edition Angel in bisque, one 1979 Fourth Edition Angel Bell in bisque, one 1980 Third Edition Santa Claus in bisque, and one 1980 Third Edition Santa Claus with hand-painted decoration. Several figures have the year of production incised into the ceramic surface.
