Victorian Aesthetic Movement Burnt Bamboo and Lacquer Magazine Rack Table - This Victorian-era furniture piece is designed in the Aesthetic Movement style and features a burnt bamboo frame with a tortoiseshell finish. The two-tier construction includes an upper magazine rack with vertical bamboo dividers and an inset lower shelf. Both tiers contain black lacquer panels decorated with hand-painted Chinoiserie motifs of birds and irises set within diamond-shaped cartouches, surrounded by floral borders. The frame is accented with decorative metal finials on the corner posts and stands on splayed legs. A lot tag numbered 0065 is attached to the frame.
