A 19th Century Federal Style Mahogany Secretary Chest of Drawers - This secretary chest of drawers is constructed with mahogany and flame mahogany veneers. The piece features a fall-front top drawer that opens to reveal a fitted interior. The interior contains multiple pigeonholes and small drawers, including two drawer fronts designed as red leather book spines with gilt lettering reading CASH BOOK and LEDGER. The exterior is decorated with lightwood stringing and patera inlay. Below the secretary drawer are three full-width drawers, each fitted with circular brass pulls and escutcheons. The case is flanked by reeded pilasters and is supported by splayed bracket feet.
