Lustern 12 Karat Gold Filled over Sterling Silver Floral Expansion Bracelet - A vintage expansion-link bracelet featuring a decorative floral centerpiece. The central panel is adorned with three stylized blossoms, each prong-set with a faceted round amber-colored stone. The band is comprised of alternating embossed and smooth stretch links, joined by a hinged box clasp. On the interior of a link adjacent to the clasp, there is a two-line impressed mark reading LUSTERN and 1/20 12K G.F. ON STERLING. This identifies the piece as a product of Lustern, constructed with a 12 karat gold-filled layer over a sterling silver substrate. Interior diameter: 2.5 inches Weight: 1.221 ozt. The bracelet exhibits heavy oxidation and tarnishing throughout, especially within the recessed petals of the floral motifs (photo 1) and along the inner band (photo 6). There is noticeable wear to the gold-filled surface, revealing the darkened silver patina underneath (photo 7). Fine surface scratches are present on the metal components and the faceted stones. The expansion links demonstrate some separation when in a relaxed state (photo 3).
