14K Gold Sapphire and Pearl Cocktail Ring - A 14 karat white gold cocktail ring featuring a central cream-colored pearl in a classic cluster arrangement. The round pearl, measuring approximately 8.5 mm in diameter, is set into a raised cup. It is encircled by a halo of twelve round-cut blue sapphires, each secured in an individual four-prong setting. The ring is constructed with an open-work wire gallery that elevates the stone setting above the polished band. The interior of the band is stamped with an impressed mark reading 14K LUL. The first portion of the mark indicates a gold purity of 14 karat; the subsequent LUL is likely a maker's mark. Weight: 2.892 g Ring Size: US 6. The ring shows signs of significant wear. The central pearl exhibits numerous deep surface scratches, abrasions, and a yellowish tint (photo 2). Several of the blue sapphires show minor nicks to the facet edges under close inspection. The gold setting and band have light surface scratching throughout consistent with age and regular use. The overall structure of the setting and the security of the stones appear sound.
