14kt White Gold Art Deco Style Filigree Pendant with Sapphire - This is an Art Deco style filigree pendant crafted from 14kt white gold and featuring a central sapphire. The pendant is designed in a modified diamond or lozenge shape, exhibiting elaborate openwork filigree with scrolled and foliate motifs. At the center is a square princess-cut dark blue sapphire, bezel-set within the metalwork. The item is suspended from a fixed, soldered jump ring bale at the top. The reverse of the pendant reveals the intricate construction of the filigree and the underside of the gemstone setting. There is a small rectangular stamp on the back of the bale and near the top of the openwork, but the characters within the compressed metal are not legible as a name or specific purity mark. Length: 1 1/16 inches (27 mm) including the bale Width: 5/8 inch (16 mm) at the widest point Weight: 1.159 grams (0.745 dwt). The pendant is in good vintage condition. There is noticeable tarnish and oxidation visible on the reverse side (photo 3) and within the crevices of the filigree. The central sapphire appears secure and intact with no visible chips or abrasions to the table or facets (photo 1, 2). The bale shows slight distortion and is angled from previous use (photo 4).
