Vintage 14K Yellow Gold and Sapphire Geometric Openwork Bar Brooch - A vintage bar brooch of geometric openwork design, crafted in 14K yellow gold. The brooch features a long, rectangular frame with a triple-track linear design. It is set with three round-cut violet-blue sapphires, each housed within a square box setting and secured by four prongs. The stones are spaced equidistantly along the length of the bar. The reverse of the brooch features a simple hinged pin mechanism with a safety C-clasp. The end of the pin stem clasp is stamped with a literal 14K mark to indicate gold purity. Directly above the gold purity mark is an impressed maker's mark consisting of a stylized P within a lozenge-shaped cartouche; the full maker's name is not legible from the mark. The metal surfaces show minor signs of wear and light surface scratches consistent with age. Length: approximately 1.75 inches Weight: 2.677 grams (1.721 dwt). The brooch is in good vintage condition. The 14K yellow gold frame shows minor surface wear and light scratches throughout (photo 1).
