Moorish Style Pierced Brass Table Lamp with Beaded Fringe and Crescent Moon Finial - This antique Moorish-style table lamp features a base and dome shade constructed of intricately pierced and engraved brass. The openwork metal displays geometric and star-shaped patterns characteristic of Islamic design, with the base lined internally with orange fabric to diffuse the light. The shade is further decorated with a multi-tiered amber-colored beaded fringe terminating in faceted drops. The lamp is crowned with a metal crescent moon finial. The electrical assembly includes a pull-chain switch and a modern tan-colored plastic-insulated cord. The interior socket sleeve is incised with characters including O, P, I, T, and a partially legible word followed by 250W and 250V. The lamp is fitted with a modern Feit Electric LED bulb. Height: 19 inches. The lamp is in functional condition and appears illuminated in several photographs. The brass surfaces exhibit an aged patina with areas of darkening and green verdigris typical of oxidation. The amber beaded fringe is largely complete, though a loose strand is visible on the left side (photo 1). The orange fabric liner within the base shows minor fraying at the edges visible through the metal piercings (photo 4). The electrical components and wiring are later replacements for the antique body.
