Tiffany Studios New York Adam Pattern Bronze Dore Double Picture Frame - A Tiffany Studios bronze double picture frame in the Adam pattern, featuring two rectangular hinged sections. The frames are cast in bronze with a dore finish, characterized by a fine, granular acid-etched texture and classical ornamentation in the Louis XVI style. Each panel is decorated with a lower frieze containing a central floral rosette flanked by swags of husks and ribbons set against a vertically reeded ground. The borders of both frames are embellished with an interlocking guilloche wave and flower motif. On the reverse, near the central hinge (photo 3), there is a stamped mark reading TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK followed by the model number 1782. Two hand-scratched characters appearing as VW are located next to the model number. Each frame section is equipped with a fold-out wire easel stand and a removable backing plate secured by small screws. Width: 12.5 inches (fully open) Height: 6.75 inches. The frame is in good antique condition with surface wear consistent with age. There is visible oxidation and green verdigris patination concentrated in the recessed areas of the guilloche borders and the central floral rosettes on the front (photo 1). The dore finish shows some minor spotting and surface discoloration, particularly on the backing plates (photo 2). Both wire easel stands are present and functional. The original backing hardware and small screws appear intact. No chips or cracks are visible to the glass inserts.
