Bidspirit auction | A Trio of Pyrex Spring

A Trio of Pyrex Spring Blossom Green Ovenware Including Nesting Bowls and a Casserole Dish - A trio of American-made tempered glass ovenware pieces featuring the Spring Blossom Green pattern, consisting of two Cinderella style nesting bowls and one round casserole dish with a fitted clear glass lid. Each piece is constructed from opaque white glass with a fired-on avocado green exterior finish decorated with a repetitive band of small white flowers and leaves. The bowls feature the characteristic Cinderella design with two integrated pouring spouts of varying sizes that serve as handles. The base of the casserole dish (photo 5) features an impressed mark that reads ”474-B 1.5L / PYREX / FOR OVEN AND / MICROWAVE / NO STOVETOP / OR BROILER / CORNING NY USA”. The base of the smaller bowl (photo 2) features a similar impressed mark reading ”441 750ml / PYREX / FOR OVEN AND / MICROWAVE / NO STOVETOP / OR BROILER / CORNING NY USA / 22”. The inclusion of metric measurements in these marks indicates a production period from the late 1970s to early 1980s. The set is in good vintage condition. The green fired-on finish and white floral pattern remain vibrant with no signs of dishwasher-induced dullness or ”haze” (photo 1). Minor shelf wear is visible on the unpainted white base rings of the bowls and casserole (photos 2, 5). The clear glass lid shows light surface scratching consistent with age and regular kitchen use (photo 4). No chips, cracks, or significant abrasions are observed.
