Bidspirit auction | Three Solar Engines Hot Air

Three Solar Engines Hot Air Stirling Engine Components - This set of three components for a model power system includes a Stirling cycle hot air engine, a water tank trailer, and a wagon chassis. The primary unit is a horizontal hot air engine constructed with a cast metal base finished in green paint, a copper-toned heating cylinder with cooling fins, and two flywheels featuring red-painted centers. It includes a brass-wire safety rail and a spirit lamp wick assembly at the front. The water tank trailer consists of a silver-finished cylindrical tank with brass-colored securing bands, a rear-mounted spout, and a black metal chassis riding on two red-spoked wheels. The third component is a four-wheeled carriage chassis featuring a central silver-tone bar and green cast-metal axle supports with four red-spoked wheels. The underside of the engine's green base features an embossed mark arranged in three lines reading PHOENIX ARIZONA / SOLAR ENGINES / (R) (photo 5). The items show a heavy accumulation of dust and surface grime across all components (photo 1). The heating cylinder of the engine unit shows visible oxidation and surface rust (photo 2). There is significant discoloration and tarnish on the brass-colored bands and silver finish of the water tank trailer (photo 4). Minor paint loss and scuffs are visible on the red wheels of all three units (photo 1, 3). The spirit lamp wick shows evidence of previous use (photo 2). The drive belt required to connect the engine flywheels to the other components is missing (photo 1). No other mechanical or structural defects are visible.
