Bidspirit auction | Antique Artisan Repurposed Fork Pendant

Antique Artisan Repurposed Fork Pendant Necklace with Purple Stones - This antique artisan pendant necklace features a focal drop constructed from repurposed silver-tone flatware. The pendant assembly begins with a decorative cast scrollwork connector that joins the cable chain. Suspended from this is a rectangular emerald-cut purple stone, possibly glass or amethyst, secured in a four-prong setting. The base of the pendant is fashioned from a vintage fork, with the tines splayed outward. Three faceted purple bicone beads, resembling Swarovski crystals, are suspended from fine secondary chains within the fork tines. The piece is finished with a textured toggle clasp. No hallmarks or maker marks are visible on any component of the necklace or pendant. Drop length: 13 inches Total pendant length: 3.25 inches Total length: 15.5 inches. The necklace is in antique condition. There is moderate tarnishing and a dark patina visible across all silver-tone metal surfaces, particularly within the recessed areas of the decorative findings (photo 3) and the toggle clasp (photo 5 and 6). Visible solder marks are present where the stone setting meets the fork base (photo 2) and where the interior chains are attached to the tines (photo 4). All stones and beads appear secure and intact.
