Three Vintage Folding Pocket Knives Including Two Jacques Seeds Advertising Knives - A trio of vintage folding pocket knives featuring two advertising pen knives and one multi-tool scout-style utility knife. The two matching advertising knives are designed in a pen knife pattern with cream-colored synthetic handles. Each handle features printed text in red reading Jacques over SEEDS in blue. To the right, a circular logo contains the same text surrounded by the words FARMERS FEED THE WORLD. These knives feature nickel silver bolsters and two folding carbon steel blades including a main clip point and a smaller pen blade. The tang stamps are present but not legible enough to confirm a specific maker. The multi-tool utility knife features four tools: a spear-point blade, a can opener, a combined screwdriver and bottle opener, and a corkscrew mounted on the spine. The handle is constructed from a dark brown composition material secured by four pins and two large circular nickel silver washers. A mark is present on the tang of the main blade, but the characters are heavily worn and illegible. These antique knives exhibit signs of heavy use and age consistent with their vintage nature. The metal components, including blades, tools, and internal liners, show significant surface oxidation, dark patina, and pitting across all three items (photo 3). The main spear-point blade on the multi-tool knife appears to have a broken tip (photo 3). The handles on the advertising knives show minor surface wear and light discoloration around the pins (photo 1). The dark synthetic handle on the utility knife displays surface scratching and general wear from handling (photo 2).
