Victorian Engraved Gold and Red Coral Bar Brooch with Amphora Dangle Pendants - This is a Victorian-era bar brooch crafted from a yellow-toned metal, featuring a central red coral element and articulated pendants. The main body consists of a rectangular bar with hand-engraved foliate motifs, topped by a semicircular crest with radiating linear patterns reminiscent of a fan or shell. A cylindrical, polished red coral bead is mounted to the center of the bar, secured by a textured metal band. Suspended from the bottom of the bar are two articulated, hollow-form amphora-shaped pendants. The reverse side features a horizontal pin stem with a tube hinge and a traditional C-clasp mechanism. An illegible mark is present on the reverse center, appearing as two small, indistinct shapes within a raised rectangular area. Weight: 2.143 g Width: 18 mm Total Height: 25 mm. The brooch shows age-appropriate characteristics for an antique piece. There is surface tarnish and dark patina visible on the reverse side, particularly around the hinge and C-clasp (photo 2 and 3). The engraving on the face of the brooch remains well-defined. One jump ring connecting a pendant drop shows a slight irregularity in shape but remains functional (photo 1). The central coral bead is intact with a polished surface and no visible fractures (photo 1).
